A “BORDEREAU DE SUIVI DE CARGAISON (BSC)”, also known as a cargo waiver or Cargo Tracking Note, is required for all shipments to Madagascar. Incoming cargo without a valid/approved BSC will not be cleared/delivered in the receiving country and will result in penalties from the authorities in Madagascar. The BSC number must be noted in the cargo documents (bill of lading, cargo manifest).
Required documents and information:
- Copy of the original signed bill of lading
- Commercial invoice in EUR or USD with country of origin and separately stated FOB goods value and ocean freight costs (otherwise an additional ocean freight invoice or ocean freight declaration is required)
- Export customs document
- Packing list, as well to show country of origin of the goods
